Aneilema scapiflorum Wight is a herb
Aneilema scapiflorum Wight's Root. Tufted herb.
Aneilema scapiflorum Wight's Leaves: glabrous in texture, finely acuminate in shape, size is usually 10-20 by 1-1.6 cm, and errect. Narrowly densiform, slightly narrow at the base.
Aneilema scapiflorum Wight's Flowers. Flowers in erect elongate panicles on terminal leafless scapes; scape together with the panicle 20-45 cm long. Sepals 6 mm long, elliptic-oblong, subacute, 3-5 nerved, purple green. Petals blue, 1 cm long, obovate, reticulately veined. Stamens 3 perfect and 3 staminodes. Filaments all bearded with blue hairs; anthers of fertile stamens blue, those of the staminodes yellow.
Aneilema scapiflorum Wight's Seeds, 3-gonous in shape, size is usually 1.6 mm. 5 or 6 in a cell, superposed.
